Daddojanam - Curd Rice

Ingredients:

1 Cup Cooked Rice
1 Cups Curd
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Cream (optional)
Salt to Taste

For Seasoning:
1 Tbsp Jeera
1/2 Tbsp Mustard Seeds
1/4 Tbsp Fenugreek Seeds or Methi Seeds
1 Dry Red Chilly
1 Tbsp Finely Chopped Green Chillies
1 Tbsp Finely Chopped Ginger
Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
1 Tbsp Ghee



Process:

1. Mash Cooked Rice until very soft and let it cook. When warm, add Curds, salt and mix well.

2. Add one cup Milk and half a cup of fresh cream and mix well and keep it aside till we prepare the seasoning.

3. For seasoning, take a small pan, add one tablespoon Ghee, add Jeera, Methi Seeds, Mustard Seeds and fry them till the Mustard seeds stops spluttering. Add Dry Red Chilly, finely Chopped Green Chillies and Ginger and fry them for one minute.

4. Transfer this seasoning in to the Curd Rice mixture and mix it well. Finally add freshly chopped Coriander leaves and serve.


Daddojanam is ready to serve. Tastes best when served cold.
